Job Title: Technical Manager

Our client, a rapidly expanding food business in County Down, are currently recruiting for an experienced technical manager, ideally with experience from the food production sector.

The purpose of the role is to ensure compliance with standards and all the overall business operation exceeds the food safety legislation.

Job Responsibilities

Working closely with the factory manager the responsibilities of the role will include:

• Assist with New Product Development
• Exceed customer and legal requirements and work towards best practice
• To identify, evaluate and lead implementation of new technology
• Conduct customer and supplier audits
• Evaluate all processes and suggest process improvement
• Implement and maintain a QMS with associated process controls incorporating HACCP
• Compliance monitoring, audit trail, product and process
• Develop a product traceability system

• Excellent presentation and communication skills at board level
• Clear, analytical thinker
• Knowledge of food and hygiene legislation
• Extensive BRC experience and clear understanding of issue 6
